Claire A. Hoffmann


Claire Hoffmann is an associate at Curley, Hurtgen & Johnsrud LLP. She has extensive experience representing employers in court as well as investigating and responding to administrative charges before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Ms. Hoffmann represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including claims of wage and hour violations, wrongful discharge, failure to promote, unequal pay, failure to accommodate, leave of absence violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Ms. Hoffmann has defended employers in single-plaintiff disputes and class actions, in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies. In addition to litigation, Ms. Hoffmann also counsels employers on a wide variety of employment law topics including wage and hour compliance, disability accommodation, leaves of absence, equal employment opportunity policies, workplace privacy, and employee handbooks.

Ms. Hoffmann received her law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy. She received her undergraduate degree in English, magna cum laude, from Cornell University. Prior to joining Curley, Hurtgen & Johnsrud LLP, Ms. Hoffmann was an associate in the employment law department of Paul Hastings LLP and GBG LLP. 

In her spare time, Ms. Hoffmann enjoys running, playing tennis, gardening, and spending time with her husband and son.
