David Silverman brings broad experience as a top legal and business executive to the practice of law at Curley, Hurtgen & Johnsrud LLP and to the management of its operations. Mr. Silverman has been a general counsel and part of the senior management teams of three financial services companies. Most recently, he was an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of LEAF Financial Corporation, a large national commercial finance and equipment leasing company. Before joining LEAF, Mr. Silverman worked for more than nine years at Sovereign Bank, a large regional financial services company, for most of that time as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Sovereign Bank and Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. Before joining Sovereign, Mr. Silverman was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Meridian Mortgage Corporation, a large national mortgage lender and servicer.

In each of these positions, Mr. Silverman was involved in a wide variety of legal matters and complex legal and business problems and issues. His expertise includes corporate law and corporate governance, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, financings, regulatory compliance, and real estate law. He worked closely and actively with senior executive management and with in-house and outside counsel on a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including employee relations matters, litigation matters, employee benefits matters and compensation matters.

Before his in-house career, Mr. Silverman served as an associate at Rawle & Henderson, where he specialized in commercial finance and lending, and later at Duane, Morris & Heckscher, where he concentrated on real estate matters. Mr. Silverman is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators. He has served as a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers' Association Legal Affairs Advisory Committee and as a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. Mr. Silverman is a 1984 graduate of UCLA Law School. He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in business administration in 1981.

Mr. Silverman resides with his wife, daughter and two stepchildren in Exton, Pennsylvania. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Support Center for Child Advocates, the Board of Trustees of Peirce College and as a member of the Finance Committee of the Caron Foundation, a non-profit addiction, co-dependency and chemical dependency treatment center headquartered in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Opportunity House, a multi-service non-profit in Reading, Pennsylvania and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Association of Legal Administrators.
