Lindsey Schroeder

Senior Counsel

Lindsey K. Schroeder's practice focuses on employment counseling and litigation.  With regard to counseling, Ms. Schroeder has substantial experience drafting employee handbooks and related policies and agreements, including severance agreements, executive employment agreements, consulting agreements, leave of absence policies, and social media and network policies.  She also regularly provides risk management advice on high-risk employee termination decisions, wage and hour compliance (including audits), disability and accommodation issues, and recruiting and hiring.  Ms. Schroeder also provides a wide range of management training.
With regard to litigation, Ms.Schroeder has experience defending discrimination, sex harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.   She has defended single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action matters in state and federal courts and claims before administrative agencies.
Prior to joining Curley, Hurtgen & Johnsrud LLP, Ms. Schroeder worked as an employment law attorney in the Palo Alto office of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.  There, she gained broad experience in employment law, with a particular focus in litigation avoidance and counseling, employment discrimination, and wage and hour.  She also served on the hiring committee.

Ms. Schroeder received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2006.  While in law school, she served as technical editor for the Hastings Law Journal and advisory board member of the Hastings Public Interest Law Foundation.  Ms. Schroeder also worked as a judicial extern to Judge Patricia V. Trumbull of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California.  She is admitted to practice in California, the Northern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Ms. Schroeder received her B.A. in psychology and business administration from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996.  She and her husband and two children live in Palo Alto, California.  Ms. Schroeder enjoys running and cooking.
